A McKinney Roughs Nature Park wedding.

As all of us Texans know, Fall can be a bit unpredictable. But with Texas Summers being predictably sweltering, it is no wonder that Spring and Fall are still the preferred season to get married throughout most of the south. Leading up to Brooklyn and Lukes wedding the weather was sunny and around the high 70s. The next thing we knew, a cold front blew through and left us with a windy, chilly wedding day. The day was mostly overcast (which is actually wonderful for portraits), but we also got lucky with the sun peaking out right at the end of the ceremony and ending the evening with a beautiful sunset.

Brooklyn and her bridal party were absolutely troopers pushing through the occasional cold gusts of wind in their spaghetti strap dresses to get shots in the beautifully landscaped nature park. You wouldn't even know that behind the scenes we were all shaking with numb hands and noses staring to run. Regardless of that sneaky cold front, the day was incredibly beautiful and l know that is how everyone will remember it. Even the incredibly laid back groom gave us a few big smiles throughout the day! Haha.

Cheers to Brooklyn and Luke!
