If you've ever been curious about what an Austin blues musician's wedding might look like, look no further! Krista and Konstantin kept the vibe of Austin's music scene alive on their wedding day. Their intimate wedding celebration was held at the iconic Stubbs BBQ on Red River Street, which is a well known music strip in downtown Austin. One of the last remaining areas to hold onto "old Austin" character. Krista and Konstantin's "unconventional" wedding was fully equipped with velvet suit jackets, sexy ankle boots, live music, adorable appearances by their son during the ceremony, Sharpie rings (soon to be tattooed rings), and of course great food!
How did I end up photographing this incredibly vibrant and hilarious couple's wedding day? Well that's a fun story in itself! Konstantin and I were both hired vendors for a surprise proposal. He was playing fantastic acoustic songs on the boardwalk with the Austin skyline in the distance, and I was there ready to snap away. While we were there waiting for the couple to arrive we had plenty of time to bond over this shared experience and that were were both in the midst of planning weddings of our own. So the SECOND they reached out to me I was fully on board and knew it was going to be good time with a lot of laughs.
