A summer sunset engagement.
About a year ago I received a message from Marcus excited to have me come out to capture him proposing to Gretchen. He set a reservation out at Steiner Ranch Steakhouse for them and their family and I waited to catch Marcus and Gretchen before they headed into the restaurant. I'm happy to say she said yes! and they went about planning their wedding.
Fast forward to just a few weeks ago and I received a new message from both of them saying they wanted to "re-do" their engagement photos. Same time, same place. I was a little curious because I don't get a request like this very often. Usually if a couple comes back after I have photographed their proposal it's usually for official engagement portrait at a new location, or to ask me to photograph their engagement party or even wedding. And of course I am more than excited to see all of my amazing couples again, so I was ready to go!
So I grabbed my camera and headed back to Steiner Ranch Steakhouse to meet them and hopefully go even bigger and better for their photos. And OH MY GOODNESS!!!! We really knocked it out of the park on this session. The sun was perfect, their outfits were sharp, and it turns out they had been working with a trainer over the past year. They both lost an impressive amount of weight and were looking incredibly fit! After talking to them for a while I realized why it was more of a "re-do" than a completely different experience. This location was important to them as it was where they originally got engaged, but it was also a beautiful way to document the amazing work they put in. I am so glad I could bring the magic in their photos!!!
